Pilot Union Threatens More Strike Action

The fight between the pilots and their employers continued on Friday and the Swedish Pilot Association warned that it could take out all members in a strike if the negotiations continue to stall.

The current strike, which started on Thursday morning, only involved 230 pilots, which led to minor disruptions in regional and domestic flights. But if the employers don’t give in to some of the demands the union threatens to take out most of its estimated 2,000 members on strike for at least one day on June 9. Only certain long distance SAS flights and all air ambulance flights will be exempt, news agency TT reported.
