Murder Trial Collapses

After a two month long murder case a 35-year old man has been found guilty of hiding his girlfriend's dead body - but the court say that they cannot convict him of murder or manslaughter.

The man, from the town of Falun in the province of Dalarna, will now undergo a month-long psychiatric investigation to see whether he can be sentenced to prison - but the only charge that stands up is the lesser one of unjustly disturbing a dead body. The man may also now be eligible to collect on his girlfriend's life insurance, worth over 127,000 US dollars.
