Police Injury in Neo-Nazi Rally

A woman police officer was injured Saturday during a demonstration by an extremist right wing group in Västerås, west of Stockholm.

According to the police, between 150 and 200 people took part in the demonstration by the so-called Party of Swedes, formerly known as the National Socialist Front.

Violence broke out when they came in contact with around 100 anti-Nazi counter demonstrators.

The police officer suffered an injury over her eye when she was hit by a thrown bottle. Another woman had her arm broken. Five people were taken into custody.
