Four domestic Swedish airlines have been grounded Monday, as 230 pilots staged a walk out. Flights between Stockholm's Bromma airport and a host of local airports around the country have been hit.
Pilots unions turned down a last minute deal with airline bosses Sunday, and the current strike is expected to last until Wednesday. The biggest disagreements in the collective bargaining discussions are over the airlines' right to hire pilots through temp agencies, according to news agency TT.
The airlines hit by the strike are Avia Express, Avitrans Nordic, Golden Air and Svenska Direktflyg.
