Law Gives Horses Right to Daily Gallop

A new animal rights law that goes into effect in August will require better treatment of horses. Horses must be allowed a run every day, in a pasture big enough for them to gallop, according to the new law.

Swedish Radio News reports that owners aren't allowed to let horses be tied up, standing in a stall for more than 16 hours a day. Additionally, a horse's stall should allow the horse to see and hear other horses.
