Swede wins gold in rowing championships

 Sweden’s Frida Svensson has won a gold medal in the world rowing championships in New Zealand.  She is the first one to beat Belarusian  Ekaterina Karsten since the Olympics in Beijing in 2008. 

This time the Belarusian had to be satisfied this time with silver.

This is the biggest victory in the Swede’s carrier.  She won a bronze medal in the world champions in 2006.
