More delays ahead for Swedish rails

News agency TT reports that Swedes should expect more train delays in the future, as the government has decided to allocate less money to railway maintenance over the coming years.

Swedish television got hold of a memo that the Swedish Transport Administration wrote to the Ministry of Industry, warning that punctuality on all rail systems will decline from today's 95 percent down to 87 percent. The Administration also warned that snow and blizzards may wreak havoc on the rails again, just as it did last winter.
