Swedish pensioners facing tough future?

Swedish pensioners could be getting a raw deal in 2048, according to new statistics, which indicate that they will only get 48 percent worth of their final take-home pay in a pension.

According to Swedish Radio News, that puts Sweden at the bottom of the European league table.

European finance ministers are to discuss pension schemes across the continent at an EU summit over the next two days.

Top of the league are the Netherlands and Greece. Today's 27-year olds in those countries will get more than 100 percent of their final pay packet in pensions once they retire by 2048.
