Jonas Sjöstedt, the student, has received text messages congratulating him, and even a few Christmas cards. "People have mailed me hand-written letters saying that I'm a good person," Sjöstedt tells Swedish Television in Västerbotten.
He has never met the 47-year-old Left Party politician, who splits his time between Stockholm and Umeå. But he says he does not mind answering his telephone greetings. The younger Sjöstedt has been forced to tell two well-known journalists – KG Bergström och Sverker Olofsson – that he would not like to make any comments at this time.
