Safari explores wealth divide
Sweden just got a new safari, but you will not find it in any travel books. This safari starts in downtown Stockholm, then goes past an immigrant suburb with a bad reputation, and heads out to one of the most well-off and posh areas in the country. It is called the Upper Class safari.
More than 50 people participated to, in their words, “highlight the class differences in Sweden”. “The purpose of the trip was to discuss and experience the class segregation of Sweden. We feel that class issues aren’t being discussed at all today when politicians speak about different social problems,” says Shabane Barot, one of the organizers of the event and a member of Allt Åt Alla, or Everything for Everybody, a lose group of revolutionary organizations that focus on class and segregation.
