"Building regulations says that we have to have an alarm. Since we build the hotel every year, we also have to follow the rules," Alf Kero, the hotel's site manager, was quoted by the travel industry magazine Besöksliv.
He said the alarm has already been tested once.
"We had someone sneaking a smoke in a broom closet. The alarm went off, and it was a good test to show that it works," he told TT.
