Bildt: "massive propaganda war" in Ukraine

Foreign minister Carl Bildt called the situation in Ukraine "a massive propaganda war", after foreign ministers from the Nordic, Baltic and Visegrad countries condemned the Russian incursion into Crimea during a meeting in the Estonian city of Narva.

In a joint statement the ministers, representing twelve countries, also condemned the proposed referendum for Crimea to join Russia.

But not all dangers are of a military nature, Swedish Foreign Mininister Carl Bildt, commented to news agency TT, in Baltic the city just across the Russian border.

"We are in the middle of a massive propaganda war, where a regime with other values than ours is broadcasting loads of information. We need to become better at countering this," Bildt said, according to TT.
