Swedish police investigate Nils Horner murder

The International Public Prosecution Office in Sweden has launched a preliminary investigation into the murder of  Swedish Radio's South Asia correspondent Nils Horner.

On Thursday morning, the acting chief prosecutor Lise Tamm began a criminal investigation, according to the International Prosecutor Agency press office.

The investigation is a joint affair between prosecutors and the National Police although it is still unclear if any investigators will be sent to Afghanistan to aid the work of the police in Kabul.
