Protests Against Mohammed Slur
Several hundred Moslems demonstrated Sunday outside a Stockholm church, in protest against a preacher who called Mohammed a “confused pedophile”.
Four to five hundred protesters gathered in front of the Philadelphia Church, the main site of the pentecostal movement in Sweden. It was at that church in March that 37 year old Norwegian guest preacher Runar Sogaard made comments about several religions, including Islam.
Sogaard, who lives in Sweden, told a television interviewer afterwards that his remarks were intended to be humorous, and referred to the young age of some of the Islamic prophet’s wives.
The sermon was later sold on a CD by his followers.
