Persson’s Blueprints Secret?
The Swedish police want the blueprints for Prime Minister Göran Persson’s new home to be classified.
Persson and his wife Anitra Steen, head of the Swedish state liquor stores, have bought land in the country south of Stockholm.
While there is an existing house on the property, they are building a new home there, and when the plans are submitted to the local authorities with the application for a building permit, by law they become public.
But the security section of the Swedish police have contacted the local council offices and asked them to keep the prime minister’s blueprints secret. The local authorities have the final decision on the issue.
