Asylum seekers in bus protest

Thirteen asylum seekers, who do not want to move into asylum housing in Långserud in central Sweden, have stayed on a bus all throughout Thursday night in a parking lot outside the police station in Karlstad.

According to newspaper Värmlandsnytt, the asylum seekers said that the housing is too rundown and is situated way out in the forest.

Lisselott Anderberg, from the Migration Board in Karlstad, told Swedish Television that the asylum seekers have been offered what is available.

"We have offered a place to live and transportation to Långserud. And if they do not want to take the help, they can find their own place to live," Anderberg said.
