No "natural explanation" for the flat explosion

The rescue services have not found any "natural explanation" for the explosion in a flat in Nyköping on Monday, which killed two men. The news agency TT reports that the Swedish intelligence service is helping out in the police investigation.

The technical investigation of the flat, in the Brandkärr district of Nyköping, continued on Tuesday. The identity of the two men who died has not yet been established. One of them died immediately from the explosion, the other one managed to get out of the house, but died later from his injuries.

A reason for the explosion has still not been found. The intelligence services are contributing to the investigation as a matter of routine. That is always the case when an incident is deemed as dangerous destruction in the public space, the police's press spokesperson told TT.
