
New checklists to ensure equal treatment for patients
Next year staff members at the country's 1,200 healthcare centers will receive checklists for treating patients with the 200 of the most common ailments. It's an effort to give patients equal treatment across the healthcare system.
Daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet reports that there is currently no common knowledge-bank for treatment. However, there are already standard treatment programs for 30 different sorts of cancer. And there are similar programs for diabetes, stroke, asthma and some psychiatricac ailments.
