Honorary ambassador chosen for Sweden's UN Security Council candidacy
Center Party's Lena Ek has been chosen to represent Sweden as honorary ambassador for its candidacy to the UN Security Council, Foreign Minister Margot Wallström announced Friday in a press release.
Ek's mission is to garner support for Sweden to gain a seat on the Security Council. She will also closely cooperate with the Foreign Ministry.
There may be more honorary ambassadors announced later.
