Passenger ferry collides with tanker boat

A passenger ferry collided with another ship early Sunday morning, which ripped a hole in its side just above the water line.

The accident happened at 2:30 AM Sunday morning in the area of the Gothenburg archipelago.

According to the Coast Guard, neither the ferry Stena Jutlandica nor the other boat took in any water, and no one was reported injured.

The other boat involved in the collision is a tanker boat, carrying 10,000 tons of diesel fuel. None of the fuel seems to have leaked out of the boat.

The passenger ferry docked at its destination and the tanker boat is anchored at the accident site.
