This season marks a record year for Swedish ice hockey players with 80 of them competing in the NHL, the prestigious North American hockey league.

To find out, we spoke with Markus Näslund, a former NHL star with the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vancouver Canucks, about how his life changed from skating on outdoor rinks in Örnsköldsvik to being made captain for the Vancouver Canucks.
