The Swedish legal representatives of Julian Assange are asking Stockholm court to reconsider its arrest warrant for Julian Assange, after a UN panel decided that the WikiLeaks founder is being "arbitrarily detained".

Assange lawyer Per E. Samuelsson tells Radio Sweden that he is very surprised by the statements by the prosecutor that she would not be swayed by the UNWGAD panel's decision.

He says that Sweden has a long history of respect for UN institutions, and the Swedish government is being a "fair-weather friend" by disregarding a UN statement with which it disagrees.
