Stockholm Court Threatens Pharmaceutical Monopoly
A Stockholm court has dismissed the charges again a man who sold perscription-free painkillers is his store – a blow to Sweden’s monoploy on pharmaceuticals.
This is the reverse of the Swedish government’s interpretation of a European court decision, which Stockholm claims did not mean an end of the monopoly.
Unlike many other countries – food and other stores here are not allowed to sell aspirins or other non-perscription medicines.
