"The absolute best hope is that somebody leaves here and they feel like 'I need to do something and I can do something," says director Hugo Hansén. "And I think the show has the potential to end like that, and to sow some seeds, and I think that's important."
When she was living in New York, Persson was part of the Citizen's Band, which tried to raise political awareness in the run-up to the 2008 presidential election.
Now back in Malmö, she decided to do something similar in Sweden over a coffee with her friend, band promoter Gudrun Hauksdottir.
"If you just look at the World, there's a screaming need for that," Hauksdottir says. "The world is not in a place where we want it to go further."'
