Sweden passes new law on sexual consent

The Swedish parliament this week overwhelmingly voted to support the government's proposal for new legislation regarding sexual consent.

The basic principle of the new law is that sex should be voluntary. The law forbids having sex with someone who has not explicitly said yes or actively demonstrated their consent.
