England expands lead over Sweden in second half

Sweden trails England 0-2 during the quarter-final match for the 2018 World Cup.

Harry Maguire scored the opening goal for the English side during the 30th minute in Samara, Russia. Just under a half hour of play later, Dele Alli gave England its second goal.

Sweden has yet to win a World Cup match when they are trailing at halftime, only drawing or losing 11 of such games.

Swedish Radio's football correspondent Richard Henriksson said the game will be a tight one but thinks Sweden has a good shot at winning.

“All the Swedish players, they know what to expect, what they’ll get from England,” Henriksson said.
