Sweden is a nation of boat lovers but the potential costs of scrapping the tens of thousands of old ships now past their sell-by-dates means many are being dumped on land or at sea.

Radio Sweden meets two women who run an environmentally friendly boat scrapyard in the Stockholm archipelago.

Josefin Arrhenborg and Maria Rindstam are spearheading a government backed campaign to help boat owners responsibly scrap and recycle their old vessels free of charge this autumn.
