Climate activists launch campaign to get Swedes to stay on the ground

Would you be prepared to give up flying for a fixed period of time to help tackle climate change?

Radio Sweden speaks to Maja Rosén who stopped flying ten years ago, as air travel is one of the driving forces behind carbon dioxide emissions.

Last year she managed to persuade 14,500 people to agree to stay on the ground in 2019, though fell well short of her original goal of 100,000 Swedes.

She's optimistic that this year's social media campaign, 'no-fly 2020', will reach her 100,000 target and show politicians that there is a collective will to halt climate change.
