Retake of Falun election sets party leaders on campaign trail again

It's been 7 months since the national election, but on Sunday, people in Falun will head to the polls once again after a ballot box went missing on election night.

And even though it is only the local election that is being retaken, all the leaders of Sweden's major political parties have visited the municipality in the last week to try to swing the vote.

"Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Falun is often said to be like a 'mini-Sweden', the result in our local elections here, is often coherent with the result in the national elections," said Martin Eriksson, a reporter at Swedish Radio's local station in Dalarna.
