Timely trains in focus at international railway conference

4:45 min

Experts in railway operations from 20 different countries are gathering in Norrköping this week, to share experiences about how to construct a good time table and how to stick to it.

Anders Petersson is an associate professor in traffic systems at Linköping University and is in charge of the conference. He tells Radio Sweden that many countries face the same kind of problems: punctuality and capacity-related issues around the large cities.

We also spoke to Ambra Telotti from the Swiss Federal Railways, one of the speakers at the conference, to find out the secret behind the comparably few train delays in Switzerland.
