New rules for public transport to fight corona pandemic
Stockholm's public transportation operator SL said on Tuesday that riders should now get on buses at the back door and keep their distance as best they can from other passengers.
The changes are aimed at keeping riders away from bus drivers as much as possible to hopefully avoid spreading any illnesses to them.
The company says people can still ride the capital's subway lines, buses and light rail trains if they are feeling well. Those who feel sick though should stay home.
Swedish rail operator SJ is also making changes. Trains will run at reduced capacity starting today, with main routes seeing few trains during the day and even rush hour.
