Sweden's Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson says the government are working on further measures to combat the economic effects of the coronavirus as fresh figures show the impact the pandemic has already had on employment.

New numbers released by the Swedish Public Employment Service show that around 18,000 people were given notice by their employer so far in March, and the actual figure could be closer to 20,000.

Andersson says the government and its partners in the Riksdag are already preparing new emergency measures to lesson the blow.
