More than two months since recording its first death linked to the coronavirus, the country's health officials say the situation is stable but stressed.

As of Wednesday, Sweden has 27,909 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus, up by 637 cases from Tuesday, and so far 3,460 people who have tested positive for the virus have died.

But the stable situation doesn't mean any of the guidelines currently in place can be relaxed though, says state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.
