Those schools were asked to close their campuses to help limit the spread of the coronavirus. Daycares, pre-schools, and schools for children up to the age of 16, however, remained open.
Now, the Public Health Agency said data shows children and teachers in Sweden aren't falling ill at higher rates than others.
The agency said it also saw very few signs of the virus spreading within schools and people aged 19 and younger make up less than 2 percent of all confirmed cases of the disease in Sweden.
