More study places available in the Autumn to meet shortages
Even more students should be able to study to be a nurse or teacher. The government on Monday announced funding for a further 1,300 college places.
Earlier this spring, the government announced that universities and colleges would be allocated more student places to dampen the effects of the corona pandemic on the labour market.
More than 407,000 prospective students have registered for the Autumn programmes, which is a record number.
"We will provide more places in longer education, shorter education and further education," Matilda Ernkrans (S), Minister of Higher Education and Research told a press conference.
