Serious coronavirus cases in Stockholm steadily declining: infectious diseases officer
The number of people being treated for the coronavirus in Stockholm's hospitals continues to decrease, the Region's medical officer specialising in infectious diseases told Radio Sweden, but it is not yet clear exactly why that is the case.
Per Follin tells Radio Sweden that an upscaling in testing means mild cases of the virus are increasingly being detected, and while immunity may be an explanation for a decline in the severe infections, as he mentioned in an interview with daily Dagens Nyheter, that is not yet certain.
