Proposed law could facilitate move to Sweden for couples

An upcoming new law on migration could make things easier for Swedish citizens wanting to move back to Sweden with their foreign partner, Swedish Radio News reports.

The Social Democrats and the Moderate party appear to be in agreement on a clause that would exempt Swedes from having to prove they have a home and a stable financial situation in Sweden before their partner is allowed to move with them back to this country.

This comes after broader negotiations on migration between the two parties broke down last week.
