Swedish media not critical enough of coronavirus strategy: infectious medicine professor

The media has not been sufficiently critical of the Swedish public health agency's strategy for the coronavirus pandemic, according to Björn Olsen, Infectious Medicine Professor at the Uppsala University department of medical sciences.

Olsen is one of the 22 researchers who authored a high-profile opinion piece in Dagens Nyheter questioning the validity of the agency's approach last April. On Tuesday he was the speaker in the latest edition of long-running radio show Summer on P1.

Swedish Television's head of programming Jan Helin disagrees and argues that critical questions have been asked by many outlets, including Swedish Television, he told Swedish Radio News.
