Tegnell: Schools not the driving place for this pandemic

With the summer holidays drawing to a close, there are concerns about what will happen as students return to school in the coming days.

Peter Fredriksson, director general of the National Agency for Education, has said that distance learning will only be the exception, not the rule during the autumn term.

He added that it's now up to schools to adapt their procedures to comply with the Public Health Agency's recommendations concerning Covid-19.

Sweden's state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell says he thinks the effects of high schools and universities reopening their classrooms, after closing them in March, will be minimal on the spread of the virus.
