Swedish parties call for EU sanctions on Belarusian officials

In August, the Swedish government decided to freeze the parts of its aid to Belarus that go to projects in which the state plays an active role. This week, Sida, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency froze further projects in Belarus.

Sweden's foreign minister, Ann Linde, and the Prime Minister, Stefan Löfven, have both condemned the violence against pro-democracy protesters in Belarus. But has Sweden and the EU done enough to support the pro-democracy movement in the country?

Radio Sweden speaks to the foreign policy spokespersons for the Liberals, the Left Party, the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats and ask them about their parties' positions on Belarus and on Sweden's actions so far.
