Schools closed in attempt to reduce segregation

At least 60 local councils have closed schools or built new schools in an effort to reduce segregation, although this often fails to work, reveals a Swedish Radio investigation.

Borås municipality has closed a school due to segregation, in 2011 - but without success.

The head of schools in that area says that parents being able to choose which school to send their children to, along with many new refugees arriving recently, means more mixed schools are hard to achieve.
