Heavy rain and strong winds are hitting large parts of Sweden with reports of flooding and fallen trees affecting some roads while some train services have been cancelled.

There are winds of up to 25 meters per second in Västra Götaland, Värmland and Örebro, while along the Norrland coast, 35 millimetres of rain are expected to fall within a 12 hour period.

The national weather service SMHI has issued class one weather warnings for hard winds in Bohuslän, Darsland, Värmland and Örebro, but strong winds are expected in almost all parts of the country today.
