Wage negotiations between The Swedish Trade Federation (Svensk Handel), and the commercial employees' union, Handels have stalled, and now the union has called for strike action next week.

On 13 November, just over 5,000 retail employees will go on strike unless Svensk Handel agrees to the trade union's demands for higher wages and job security in the negotiations over a new collective agreement.

The strike warning affects 22 companies, ranging from large supermarkets to warehouses serving online shopping and furniture and hardware stores.
