International students staying in Sweden for Christmas due to pandemic
- Many international students are choosing to stay in Sweden over the Christmas holidays due to the pandemic.
- Uppsala’s Student Union President Jacob Färnert says they are trying to make international students feel less isolated through a buddy program.
- The project called Julgiven is providing free Christmas meals to people in Lund and have set up a corona-safe Christmas celebration for the international students who otherwise might have spent Christmas alone, according to Sandra Lindqvist, Deacon of Lund Cathedral.
