Crisis agency head resigns over travel controversy
- Dan Eliasson, the director general of Sweden's crisis response agency, the Civil Contingencies Agency, has resigned.
- On Thursday, Camilla Asp was promoted from within MSB, the agency's Swedish acronym, as the temporary replacement.
- Eliasson's resignation came after he broke public health rules by travelling to the Canary Islands during Christmas.
