Swedish aid helping to repair Russian sewage pipes

  • The aid agency Sida is contributing SEK 2 million of the 36 million costs of repairing 2 km of sewage pipe in Novgorod, Russia.
  • Sweden and other Baltic countries are working on improving the sea's environment, but their Baltic environmental goals for 2021 will not be met.
  • Similar work in Russia that Sweden has funded are in the territory of Kaliningrad and the city of St Petersburg.
