People caught breaking pandemic law can face instant fines
- The prosecutor's office suggests an on-the-spot fine of SEK 2,000 for those who break the pandemic law's ban on crowding.
- The government and local municipalities can declare areas like parks and beaches off-limits, to prevent the spread of infection.
- The new fines could come into force as early as January 27.
