Polish man banned from Sweden for life

A Swedish court has sentenced a Polish man to ten years in jail for smuggling amphetamines into this country.

The 30-year-old Pole was arrested in June after attempting to enter Sweden with 10 kilos of amphetamines in his car.  Although the man had denied the charges, in pre-trial hearings he admitted he had agreed to take the drugs from Poland to Norway via Sweden at the behest of a second party.  The court ruled the man will be banned from Sweden for life after serving his sentence.
