
Bank leaked personal information to Facebook - but did not report it

Two banks are currently under investigation by the Authority for Privacy Protection after personal data about their customers was leaked to Facebook.

Collector bank also leaked phone numbers and email addresses to Facebook, but did not report it to the authorities - and may thereby avoid fines.

Kajsa Lernestål, head of marketing at Collector, tells Swedish Radio News they made a risk assessment and concluded that the people whose information was leaked were "not exposed to any risk in relation to their rights".
