Climate emissions bounced back in 2021 after dropping during pandemic
Swedish greenhouse gas emissions rose last year after falling during the start of the coronavrius pandemic, according to preliminary figures from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Compared to 2020, emissions increased by 4 percent last year, totaling 48 million tons of greenhouse gases.
The agency's Anna-Karin Nyström says Sweden must decrease its carbon emissions each year if it is to meet its climate goals.
